The Yadkin Valley, North Carolina's First American Viticulture Area, is bordered to the west by the Blue Ridge Mountains. This true river valley has a unique blend of climate with the ancient soils that produce world class wines.

The Yadkin Valley is comprised primarily of Yadkin, Surry and Wilkes counties in the northwestern area of North Carolina. The Yadkin Valley has recently been designated as a viticultural appellation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. The region is at the base of the Blue Ridge parkway with elevations ranging from 900 - 1500 feet. It's a beautiful place. New vineyards and wineries are sprouting up at the rate of 4-6 per year.
