The Siamese Twins

The Siamese Twins are buried right outside of Mount Airy in a community called White Plains. The twins married sisters and had 21 children, and many of this descendents still live in the area. The Bunker family has an annual reunion in Mount Airy in June that is open to the public.

The Mount Airy Visitors Center and The Mount Airy Museum of Regional History have exhibits about the Twins.

Directions to the Grave Site: Take Highway 601 South From Mount Airy. After passing Wal-Mart on the left, take the next left onto Old Highway 601. You will travel about 2 miles. You will pass over I-74 just before reaching White Plains Baptist Church, which is on the right. The Cemetary is behind the church at 506 Old Highway 601.
