The Galax, Va., area offers a wealth of opportunity to hear Bluegrass and Old-Time music.
Galax is the site of the 70th Annual Fiddlers Convention August 7-12, 2006 which will be held at Felts Park, Galax, Va. Call 276-236-8541 or check outwww.oldfiddlersconvention.com.
The Blue Ridge Music Center is being developed by the National Park Service to preserve, interpret, and present the traditional music of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Visitors can enjoy scheduled performances of traditional Blue Ridge music, including Old-Time string bands, ballads, gospel, blues and work songs.
